We'll tell you as soon as tickets go on sale:

Derek Jacobi stars in this sell-out production of Shakespeare’s classic final play.

The Tempest arrives in London after a sell-out critically acclaimed run in Sheffield, directed by Michael Grandage – newly appointed artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse.

Prospero, an exiled Duke with supernatural powers, orchestrates his daughter Miranda's first contact with other mortals who find themselves shipwrecked on 'his' island - exacting revenge for himself in the process. This is Shakespeare's final play, and Prospero's climatic final speech is interpretted by many as the writer's own fairwell to the theatre.

Jacobi, one of Britain's most familiar actors, brings his own brand of intensity to the character of the embittered wizzard. Though he is most famous for TV roles including Cadfael and I, Claudius, he also has a glittering theatre CV, having worked extensively with the RSC and the National.
